I had a little emotional setback.
I got my feelings really, really hurt and held it in for a week, and it all came spilling out today.
I am so grateful to have a companion who doesn’t need me to explain why I’m crying or isn’t going to tell me to stop. He just let me know that he’s not my therapist, and he held my hand as I blubbered. Then he told me I looked nice in my jeans.
I hope that when you have valleys in your life, you have someone who loves you and can go through them with you. If that is not your crowd, it is time to begin finding your people. When you practice self-care, you will attract other people who are interested in your well-being. When you do not care for yourself, the people you attract do not care about you.
People who love you care about your feelings.
Healing is not linear, and I am getting back on track. Thanks for being there for me. This was a big fall, but I’m still getting stronger. I learned that what doesn’t kill you indeed makes you stronger.
